Kettenbach Dental is celebrating its 80th anniversary

The long-standing company Kettenbach GmbH & Co. KG, which has been making a name for itself with inventions and product innovations in medicine for decades, is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. The internationally oriented family-run company headquartered in Eschenburg, Germany develops, produces, and distributes dental medical devices for the highest requirements in impressions, restorations, and now also in prophylaxis.

On May 2, 1944, the company was founded in Wissenbach in Central Hesse, but is now located in nearby Eschenburg. From here, the company operates globally and continues to grow with intelligent products that are developed in the in-house research laboratory and produced on site.

This allows Kettenbach to constantly prove that many years of experience and the power of innovation are not mutually exclusive, but rather complement each other ideally: The insights into the dental sector gained in many markets over the decades are continuously updated and used for the development of new products, entirely in line with and for the benefit of users in dental practices – and of course for the benefit of patients.

Lastic 55 from Kettenbach was the world’s first impression material based on silicone in 1955. Market-leading products such as Panasil, Futar, Identium, and VSXE One followed over the years, long simplifying the day-to-day work of dentists with precisely designed products.

But Kettenbach has stood out with more than just impressions since then: Since 2013, the medium-sized company in Germany has also been setting new standards in composite materials for restorations with the Visalys product line – whether for temporary restorations, core build-ups, adhesive cementation, or as filling material, the user always receives a product with “added value”.

In terms of innovation, it fits in very well that Kettenbach recently introduced a real innovation in prophylaxis: Profisil Fluoride Varnish, a new fluoride varnish with 5 % sodium fluoride (22,600 ppm) in a mucosa-friendly gel with a pleasant taste.
